Many customers ask what’s the difference between percale and sateen bedding? The simple answer is the weave and finish. Percale is harder and flatter weave that has fewer small fibers that act as a loft to feel soft and increase warmth. That is why percale is cool to the touch. Our favorite percale sheet are sferra Celeste, matouk Lowell, matouk Gatsby and sferra Giza percale. 
Sateen has lots of small fibers that stick out to give it a soft feel and warming sensation. Our favorite sateen sheets are sferra Giotto, Matouk nocturne and sferra Giza sateen.
